Email Whitelisting

Instructions for making sure you receive important information from us.

Thank you for joining the Aperto Family!

We are glad to have you and promise to take real good care of you. As we begin working together, we want to make sure that you “whitelist” our emails so that you’ll be able to receive content from us.


What is Whitelisting?

Whitelisting is the process of letting your email service provider know that you want to be receiving emails from a particular source. To keep customers happy, the email service providers routinely flag email as SPAM in order to keep your inbox from being full of junk (we certainly appreciate this effort). But on occassion, items that you intended on be delivered get stuck in that process. The way to avoid that and be sure you get your emails delivered is to whitelist senders that you want to hear from. So we ask that you whitelist Aperto so that you will receive the content that we are delivering to you.


Please whitelist us now before any of your email deliveries from us are interrupted.


We are going to show you how to whitelist using different email providers. We won’t be able to list them all here as there are very many. But we hope that we’ve captured yours below.



  1. In your inbox, locate an email from xxxx@apertoconsulting.com (you should have just received an email and the sender from our company can vary)
  2. Drag this email to the “primary” tab of your inbox.
  3. You’ll notice that our emails will go to your primary folder in the future.















Yahoo! Mail


When opening an email message, a “+” symbol should display next to From: and the sender’s name. Select this and an “Add to contacts” pop-up should appear. Select “Save”:












Mac Mail

  1. Select “Mail” and from the top menu.
  2. Select “Preferences” from the drop down.















  1. In the “Preferences” window, click the “Rules” icon.
  2. Click the “Add Rule” button.

















  1. In the “Rules” window, type a name for your rule in the “Description” field.
  2. Use the following settings: “If any of the following conditions are met: From Contains.” Type the sender’s email address in the text field beside “Contains.”
  3. Select “Move Message” and “Inbox” from the drop-down menus.
  4. Click “Ok” to save the rule.


















Outlook 2003 and Later

  1. Right-click on the message in your inbox.
  2. Select “Junk E-mail” from the menu.
  3. Click “Add Sender to Safe Senders List.”
